Sterki AG Takes Part in One of Europe’s Largest EAGLE V Vehicle Programs
Sterki AG, the official sales and service partner of Allison Transmission in Switzerland, is part of one of the largest procurement programs of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) in the field of protected military vehicles. As part of a major contract awarded to General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS), Allison Transmission will supply fully automatic transmissions for approximately 3,000 EAGLE V vehicles. Delivery of the transmissions will be handled through Sterki AG. The first vehicles are scheduled to be delivered starting in 2027.
The program includes 2,610 EAGLE V command and control vehicles as well as 360 protected medical vehicles. In addition, the framework agreement contains an option for further vehicle orders in the coming years.
For Sterki AG, this project represents one of the most significant contracts in the company's history. It highlights the long-standing partnership with Allison Transmission, which dates back to 1973, as well as the close cooperation with GDELS-Mowag across numerous successful vehicle programs.
The EAGLE V vehicles are among the most advanced protected multi-purpose vehicles in their class. Equipped with proven Allison 2500 SP fully automatic transmissions, they deliver exceptional mobility, reliability, and performance under the most demanding operating conditions. Since the start of production of the EAGLE IV in 2005, GDELS has relied on Allison transmission technology as a standard component of its vehicles.
With its technical expertise, decades of experience in drivetrain technology, and customer-focused service organization, Sterki AG is making an important contribution to the successful implementation of this major project. Participation in the program further strengthens the company's position as Switzerland's leading partner for Allison automatic transmissions, military vehicles, commercial vehicle technology, and defence mobility.

As of January 1, 2026, Dominik Koster assumed the role of CEO, joined the Board of Directors and became a co-owner. With his industry experience, strategic expertise and eye for new technologies, he will shape the next phase of growth.
As part of the succession, SIC Group AG also acquired a stake as co-owner, thereby strengthening our strategic and financial foundation.
Reto Sterki, who has shaped the company for more than 40 years – including 25 years as CEO – is stepping back from operational management. As majority owner and member of the Board of Directors, he will remain closely connected to Sterki AG.
